The foreign country citizens who will travel to Turkey are subjected to different visa requirements depending on transnational agreements. Accordingly, the citizens of certain countries have the visa-free entrance right to Turkey. Foreign visitors who do not have this right must complete visa procedures online or by directly applying to the embassies of the Republic of Turkey in their own country. The countries with visa exemption and e-visa procedures are given below. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey recommends visa application one month prior to planned travel dates to avoid any problems due to visa delays.
Conference attendees can complete their visa applications in the electronic environment before their travel to Turkey. Visa procedures on Electronic Visa Application System require entering the necessary information and paying the visa fee with a credit card. After these procedures, the visa is sent to the email address of the applicant. The applications must print their electronic visa, show the visa to airport authorities and keep their documents until the end of their travels. The visa fee for the visa on the electronic system costs less than the visa fee collected at the airport.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey recommends a passport valid for at least 6 months from the travel date to avoid any problems such as an expired passport. Individuals who want to enter Turkey with a travel document instead of a passport must apply for a visa regardless of their country (including citizens of countries with visa exemption). Additionally, the staying duration of the citizens of countries without visa exemption in Turkey must not exceed 90 days in the last 180 days.
